Could someone compare the social scenes at Middlebury Williams and Dartmouth? They are my top three choices and I'd like to get a more in depth description of the social scenes at these schools.

I’ve got a friend who went to Middlebury and, last I checked, was seriously considering transferring. I’ve not talked to him all that much in recent months, but last time we talked he was voicing his concerns that the people were “shut-ins,” which I believe is the word he used. He’s a smart and kinda dorky (the fun kind that jokes about sciencey things and reads anime and the sort), but a very outgoing social guy and he felt that the students were a little too subdued for his liking.

Don’t take my word for it as I neither attended myself nor have a clear recollection of this/these conversations, but this is the best I can offer. Try touring the places and sneak into one of the dorms. Find someone with an open door and just start chatting. If there aren’t many open doors or people willing to talk with a stranger, it is a good indication that the students there aren’t the most outgoing.
