Social??

Ok ok I like the down to earth thing. But I've heard from some Middlebury kids that the average Dartmouth student is "socially awkward." Is this a fair label? And are there any good looking girls?

Not true at all. I'd say the opposite. Dartmouth probably has the most "normal" (i.e. funny, friendly, social) student body of any top ten school. And there are definitely cute girls.

Middlebury kids aren't really in the position to rate Dartmouth's social scene. Dartmouth is not socially awkward whatsoever. The vast majority of people are very at ease with the social scene(s) and have a very good time on weekends and even during the week if you so choose.

Well there are some socially awkward students here, but we love them all the same. They make us diverse and interesting, as ironic as that may seem.

Of course. But no more than at any other school. There is no way I would use "socially awkward" to describe Dartmouth.

Sounds like a flame post. I doubt that Middlebury kids are going around talking about the social habits of Dartmouth kids.

I would actually say exactly the opposite. Dartmouth and Midd were my two top choices, and I visited both extensively. Dartmouth's social life is thriving...like really, really active, tons of parties, events, basically anything you could imagine. Midd's social scene was lacking, comparatively. And of course, there are awkward turtles everywhere, but definitely no more at Dartmouth than at any other school. Aren't we all a bit awkward, anyway? Oh, and there are definitely attractive girls at Dartmouth. That BS is a myth propagated by disgruntled rejectees who try to find self-worth in denouncing Dart.
