In terms of the social aspect of Oxford college how does it compare to that of a traditional school? Are there frats? parties? local bars?

I am one of the few people who answers questions about Oxford here in CC. I’ve answered this question countless times, however, so I would encourage you to use the search function.

oxford does not have fraternities or sororities. A few emory fraternities will take oxford kids though, you can rush and pledge while at oxford but i don’t recommend it because its so time consuming. Parties on the row are hit or miss, and its not really worth taking that chance all the way from oxford.

Oxford itself is a very tight-knit campus. If you make the most of it you’ll know everyone on campus and have a great friend group. There are co-ed social clubs at oxford that function similarly as fraternities, definitely worth checking out. You’ll also have an idea by the end of your 2 years whether or not you want to join greek life at emory.

Everyone at college parties, and you will have a social life at oxford if you are outgoing and friendly.

Hi! I was wondering if someone could elaborate on each of the social clubs? What each social club is like, what their reputations are, etc.?

Thanks!

are any of the social clubs single gender? Thanks
