Is it easy to meet people and make friends?

I will be a junior transfer and had a hard time making friends at my cc, but am wondering is it easier to meet people hang out, etc at UW? I never had a gf either, would it be easier to meet girls?

And are there other juniors in the dorms?

I usually tell people that you should have no problem making friends at uw but…

If you had trouble making friends at CC, then the UW will be harder. I found the nice small class sizes at my cc easy to make friends. And since the campus was so small i was always running into people i knew.

It doesn’t mean that it’s impossible. It just means that you will have to work harder. I’m sure you know all the usual things to do: talk to classmates, join clubs, etc. If none of this works you might want to consider taking some communication classes as your vlpa (and sometimes I&s) credit.

and yes there are juniors (and even seniors) in the dorms. just less then the frosh and sophs

hey BioFueled. My best advice I can give you to finding friends at school is to be on your game in your classes.
I got tons of girls and guy friends just from being the guy who knew his stuff and was nice enough to make you coffee and tutor you at 2 am.

The droms are a drastically different social environment than your CC, and youll find that the caliber of students at UW (at least in the competitive, analytical majors), will bend over backwards to hang out with you if they’re sinking in their classes.

Also, I would not live in the dorms unless you are loaded. Find a cheap place off campus and tell UW to take your deposit and shove it. You will save loads of money.

oh yeah and learn how to make drinks and youll be at every party. You dont even have to say anything.
