How is the social life for the non-party/straight type guy? Very accepting of others choices, but set on his own as well: doesn’t do alcohol/drugs, not into the party scene, pretty much enjoys coffee house/intramural sports/talking to friends type activities.

Plenty of that available. As a senior, D2 now will have the occasional drink, but tends to do so in the company of a few close friends on campus, often with a conversation or game at hand. The nice thing about Bard is that there’s no pressure to party or do substances.

I can concur. Mine is a sophomore and has never felt the pressure to drink, smoke or party excessively, and has easily found friends of similar tastes. But also it seems that most Bard students are very accepting and open to one another, no matter their habits and viewpoints.

I’m a junior and not a big partier. It’s really not a problem. At Bard people offer substances to be nice, but also respect your decision without pressuring when you say no. Most people at Bard who do drugs/alcohol also enjoy the things you mentioned so I really don’t think there would be any problem.
