I looove both Northwestern and wash u.. so i need help.
does anyone knwo if there are any major differences between their social lives? like sororities, work loads (im pre-meding), parties... I just love both and idk which one i want to early apply to!
THanks!

I know that Northwestern’s social life revolves more around the Greek system. NU might have a slightly larger premed workload as I hear the organic chemistry class there is more difficult than Harvard’s, but I really doubt there’s that big of a difference in workload between the two schools. It seems like Wash U’s student body and campus are a bit more cohesive due to the North/South division at NU. However, NU has Big 10 sports and a more active performing arts scene. I’m also a prospective student so take my perspective with a grain of salt. This is just what I’ve heard.

The workload isn’t gonna be different. Actually, orgo didn’t really have a lot of “assigned” work. But depending on your talent level, you may need to spend a lot of time studying for the exams. The same goes for bio and chem. At WashU, I had this annoying weekly quiz for general chemistry (i transferred to NU); I heard they still have it. It’s equally tough at both places.
