Social Life

I will be attending Babson next year. I read in a college book that Babson has a very poor soical life. Can anyone tell me how true that is?

It is unfortunately true to some extent. Awrora the reason for the lack of social life is predominantely related to the size of the school (about 1700 undergrad students) and the amount of work that is given. Babson gives a lot of work for the first two years so finding free time to socialize and still maintain decent grades is not as easy as it would be at some other schools.

Also the location while close to Boston it is still about 10-15 miles away. That means you would need to get to Boston via car or public transportation. If you don't have a car the nearest public transportation stop is a few miles away. In Wellesley, unfortunately there is not much to do. You have Wellesley College and one little strip of shops/restaurants other then that your out of luck.

The place to socialize is in Boston. The main reason for the lack of social life is the size and workload.

If you have a car then you can go into Boston as often as you want and your social life shouldn't be too bad but don't expect too much fun on the Babson campus or in the town of Wellesley.
