Hi,
I am a high school senior in the IB program and highly interested in Rhodes for it's academic rigor, good financial aid and location.
My only reservation would be social life, however. I am not one of the typical Rhodes students: I am not of the upper middle class or white and I think the Greek life is okay depending on how rowdy parties can get.

With that said, I was just wondering how students of the "less wealthy minority" fare with their social lives.

I would highly appreciate any comments from current or former students and parents as well.

Hi,
Both of our kids strongly considered Rhodes; were admitted-visited campus and awarded great merit money. While greek life is a big part of the social life, my understanding is that sororities/fraternity parties are not closed nor cliquey in the sense of large schools. PM Curmudgeon-his daughter is a junior ( i believe) at Rhodes and is an excellent source of information about all things Rhodes- academics as well as social life. Good luck in your search!
