the only one who would laugh at kids like yalekid

Tell me her name. You go to Phillips Academy right? Maybe I know her.

Yea, I go to Andover. Her initials are SH

I contest that iwannagoivy's thread is yet to be beat. But I cannot find his greatness anywhere, for the evil CC officers erased all documentation of his blessed existence.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. SH? Junior, Lower, Upper, Senior?

senior of course. not that big. whatever.

Oh. I know who it is.

haaha. random note... but the title of this thread is so misleading.

Yeah, that was all part of yalekid's masterplan. He's going into politics, you know....

First of all, I don't see any moral or ethical problems with yalekid having written his own recs. After all, he said that the teachers signed them, so if nothing else, they are vouching that the letters are accurate representations of his character. I really don't see this as being a big deal. Yalekid, on that note, you probably have about as good chances of getting in as anyone else...you are obviously very qualified, but with yale it seems near impossible to begin to predict who they will take.

I think it is a violation of the schools trust. Just like the name of this thread. Yalekid, most the people here already dislike you. I would reccomend starting over with a new name, you only have 13 posts.

What was iwannagoivy's thread about?

Oh btw, the admissions percentage is 10% that is why your chances are 10%.

sadly, I'm going to have to point out the 'ethical problem' with this poster:

You're lying. By writing your own rec and having your teacher sign it, you and your teacher are both lying to the school. Frankly, you're a fool to post this on the internet. I could forward this thread to an adcom right now, and they could pick your name right out of the box... and into the wastepaper basket. Oh, and any adcom can tell when a kid writes their own rec. I could probably tell, for that matter. Adcoms read thousands of recs. They can smell something a mile away.

Come on, do not be such moral snobs.
[/QUOTE]
Dude, if you're a true communist, you shouldn't be going to a university that costs 40k a year. You should renounce your parents' wealth and go control the means of production or some such nonsense. If moral principles are moral snobbery, then I don't want to be morally humble.

"If moral principles are moral snobbery, then I don't want to be morally humble."

iwannagoivy sent everyone spiraling into madness with his picture of the ultimate applicant: African American from Alaska, 1600, amazing national awards and founder of clubs...we spent 60+ pages singing his praises (Lord of the Universe, protector of the underlings, colonizer of Antarctica and Fuhrer of the Black Holes etc) before the CC directors sent him to oblivion.

tkm256: I must confess I don't really care much about politics as long as I get into Yale.
bulldogbull: thank you for your evaluation of my chances. I really appreciate it. Can other people tell me if I'll get in?
shark_bite: "Yalekid, most the people here already dislike you" Should I really start over with a new name?
SonataX: "If moral principles are moral snobbery, then I don't want to be morally humble." Very well put.

Yalekid, your stats are excellent. Very good chance. Hope to see you at Yale next year!

YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS

wow. wow. How are you people even applying to this school

is there any common sense on this forum?

for one there is no "ballet national championship"

how can you not tell that this person is a troll

But it's so fun to pretend he isn't.

tkm, actually iwannagoivy was a native american. lol. even better.

i thuroughly enjoyed this thread.
