<p>I have a few questions about social life at Yale:</p>

<li>How prominent is racism?</li>
<li>What is Catholic life like?</li>
<li>Are you doomed forever if you only own a few J-Crew sweaters?</li>
<li>How easy is it to make friends?</li>
</ol>

<li>It exists, like everywhere, I suppose. But, the campus itself seems very diverse and the students are tolerant of all races and creeds. </li>

<li>No, that is Princeton. My son, a junior, doesn’t own anything from J-Crew; truth be told, he prefers Theory. But, the clothing in Theory stores is too expensive for him, so he shops the internet for deals on anything Theory.</li>
<li>For some kids, it’s very easy to make friends. For others, it’s more difficult. When my son was a freshman, he had to fill out a questionnaire for his financial aid application. In part he wrote

<p>My daughter is at another ivy, and it’s been much more difficult for her to make friends there, than for my son at Yale.</p>
