Sociology of Social Policy?

I was just wondering which of these majors is less competitive? Which would you say have a higher acceptance rate specially for international students.

I mean: Sociology OR Social Policy*

Any recommendation please???

Haha just wait a moment. We’re all at or going to school in America. Including me. Someone will probably come along in a few hours xD

Lol okay, so no one came by. I’m not an NU student, but just according to some hearsay and my counselor, sociology in general is not all too popular? But then again, I’ve never heard of anyone majoring in social policy.
I mean if you were asking whether going in as bio or sociology is more competitive I could give you a straight answer, but since sociology and social policy are very similar areas of study, I don’t think the difference would be that great.

Why do you ask?

Probably Social Policy because you’d be applying to the School of Social Policy (aka SESP) whereas for sociology, you’d be applying to Weinberg, the most popular undergrad school. SESP is very small (and mostly girls, so if you’re a guy that helps too).

Thank youuu i just want to increase my chances by applying to a less competitive major hehe
