<p>Go to school and take classes in both. Sociology leans towards the study of group behavior; psychology leans towards the study of individual behaviors. Both fields overlap greatly. However if you think you want to work in the medical or government environments you should also look into social work programs. In the past there has been a bias towards social work degrees when hiring for these jobs even though they have different skill sets than the other degrees.</p>

<p>Then classses in both would be to your advantage. They probably have some awesome classes in psychology of marketing.....</p>
<p>adding to the above, psych also involves some biology (studying the brain!)</p>
