Soldier Needs Help Finding a Major

Hello All,

I'm a US Army soldier in a bit of predicament... allow me to explain:

I got 700s across the board for my SATs, but wasn't accepted to my #1 school, so I became discouraged and on a whim opted to attend an incredibly overpriced liberal arts school with a strong regional reputation (to which I am now heavily indebted). I majored in Philosophy and then enlisted in the US Army upon graduating. My marks at this school were checkered, for a number of reasons... most of them non-academic.

I'm looking to turn my life around--so to speak--and go back to school for a major where I can become a professional and earn a lot of money (i.e., ~70k+). Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking Accounting.

My aim is to get a degree where I can be 'certified' to do something, and then immediately jump into a career field.

I know some paralegals who made decent money fairly quickly after college. Morning in advertising in good if you can get it. Accounting, if you become a CPA then you will do okay

Accounting
Homeland Security Studies (you can leverage your Vet status)
Information Security/Computer Science

Did you obtain a clearance? Even if not, try checking out a job fair or virtual fair where your Vet status/and/or clearance can give you a leg up, and at the least give you some career ideas.
