Some of the uncommon, wonderful things about Brown

I didn't know you did that game, modestmelody. My husband did it last fall -- he was quite enthusiastic. Some might say obsessed.

He probably knows my name then and if he ever commented, I probably know his as well... ask him if he remembers the Commander Jason Becker '09. People seemed to love or hate me-- I had a pretty good strategy going and then I was unable to work on the game for about a week and things got screwed up beyond my ability to fix them.

Wow! I didn’t know you were him! I’m your facebook friend!

-Cmdr. Daniel Chang '12

One might say I’m intrigued.

Aside from all of the usual cool things that happen at Brown, like seeing great speakers etc, I had some other cool experiences I’d like to mention.

I am a non-science concentrator but have been able to do research aboard a boat in the bay and in another class got to hold and look at samples of the moon from each of the Apollo missions under a microscope. Also in this class we had Dave Scott call in (he couldn’t make it in person unfortunately) and he talked about his walks on the moon and we were able to ask him any questions we wanted. The teacher recommended we ask him about pooping in space. Also in this class we were givin a handout and asked for recommendations for a space project. The professor is on some sort of council at NASA so the best of our ideas were submitted directly to NASA for brainstorming. We also get to hear cool sentences from professors like, “The shakiness of my laser pointer is in direct correlation to how much wine I drank last night.”
