1.Is it possible to get a job in an offshore rig right after graduation, or do i need a few years experience in an onshore project before, working offshore?

What kind of work shifts can I expect to get in an offshore rig?

Do engineers working offshore get a lot of vacation time?

How many years of experience are required before getting a job in a foreign country?

Don’t quote me but I can answer some questions to the best of my knowledge.

Yes it is possible but it depends on the company and what positions you get right off the bat.

Normally it should be 12 hour shifts. I have heard of more with smaller companies. But norm is 12.

expect 3 weeks of work and 2 weeks off. the weeks you’re working is an everyday 12 hour shift type of deal. During you’re weeks off expect to go into the office every now and then. Also expect to be put through company sponsored classes when you first start during your time off.

I say probably 5-10 years of experience is typically what they look for. But there are chances where you can go straight into a foreign country for training or something.
