Some words of advices from current student (IMPORTANT)

I appreicate the CCNY has appointed someone to come here to answer questions but this representative doesn't seem to be very active here.

SO. As a current student at City College, I strongly oppose the idea of posting information until you've consulted with at least one official at City College. If their answers don't seem logical, come here and some students here may be able to help.

It is hard to get in touch with many officials at City College, but do not rely on online resource.

*Instead, for general inquiry *

Use this new service at CCNY: Ask Edward
Ask Edward

Call the school directly

If nothing gets resolved, you MUST come to school in person. People hate phone calls.

Shoot the person an email and he can probably get back at you as soon as possible.

** Honors program **
Please contact the honors program directly. Honors program has its own staff to answer questions.
Honors Program

City College Honors Center runs both Macaulay Honors College @ City College and City Honors Program.

CCNY Honors Program IS NOT Maculay Honors. If you sign up for Macaulay Honors in your application, you can only choose one college (City in this case), then you are automically considered for the followings:
1. Macaulay Honors @ CCNY
2. Honors program @ CCNY (does not guarantee scholarships - but almost everyone does...)
3. Regular Admission to CCNY

Engineering
If you have problems with your engineering school admission and classes, you should consult with the School of Engineering. Some admission, however, needs to talk to the Admission office of City College.

Visit OSD if you need most of the help: Office of Student Development::About Us

Placement Test
Please see here: Test Samples
Look under Math section. It's mostly trigonmetry, algebra, and basic pre-caluclus stuff like functions.
It is done on a computer.

** Directions to CCNY **
Take either the 1 train to 137th City College (2 stops away from Columbia Universisty) or A, B, C, D trains to 135th / 145th street. Read the map before you come, however.

I don't come here often, so please do not reply on online resources. Get your problems settle as soon as possible. Chances are, you are not the only one having the same problem. I would love to answer your questions even privately, but I decline to release my name here so I don't get into troubles with your problems :)

I am going to expand on this thread. Please do not comment your questions here. Thank you are not necessary here :)

Thank You! I just found everything I needed here  <3
