@Ray192, I can accept criticism, but the thing was that she called my idea dumb. So what if I want to start a club for my resume? If I did not care about my resume, I would be flunking high school and getting involved in gangs. At least I am trying to improve my chances. If everyone listened to people like you, there would be no such thing as dreams and aspirations. She has no right to call an idea dumb, because that is not criticism. The reason I want to start a club is that in all the clubs I am interested in, I try out for a position and I never get it. I even go above and beyond, but the Presidents(upperclassmen) are all nepotistic and only appoint their friends to positions. This leaves me with just club membership in ALL my clubs. I don’t know how I am supposed to organize events by just being a member when all event coordinating activities are directed toward “event coordinators”. Suggesting an idea to the event coordinator might make the event possible, but in the end it is he/she that keeps the position while I stay a measly club member. Please dont tell me to befriend these officers, because I will feel guilty taking a spot just because I know the officers.
