How to show leadership for college?

I'll be a junior this year. So i want to start a club but i don't know which club i should start. Because my school is a very big school. So there are a lot of clubs, and i want to create a club that is new and interesting so other students want to join. I don't mind if the club is small but i would like the club to be helpful. So guys any ideas?
Thank you

Try starting a robotics club; I’m in the process of starting one currently - it takes a lot of work.

Creating a small university would be helpful. You could accept underprivileged kids.

Future Doctors of America?

Future Dentists of America?

Future Zookeepers of America?

^^^ lol
clubs
Astronomy club
Fashion club
Architecture club
Classics club
Origami club
College planning club
Presidents of a club club
Help a friend not cheat club
Or even anti student council club (for debates only, not violence ;))
Heck you can even start a “teachers who love teaching” club
It doesn’t matter! Instead of making a club run for class president!

You could try the White Student Union or Protestant Student Union.

^ I like that idea…haha

If you are just starting a club to “show leadership for college”, then I would suggest you not bother. Colleges can often see through this and may even hold it against you. If, however, you are truly passionate about something that is not currently offered in your hs, then it should be easy for you to determine the topic and convince others in your school to join. Good luck!

^What he said
if you’re starting a club just to start a club, colleges will see right through it

i was a president when i was 9th grade. It didn’t seems that much fun. I want to create a club because of the leadership but also i want to start the club that i like and people will enjoy it. I want to learn how to management, to do that i think starting a club is the best idea. My sister she is a leader of a club called “prom express”. Basically the club is all about giving out dresses to other students who can’t afford it . I think it pretty cool and i want to do something like that =). Create a small business
PS. They will have tuxedos next year. So i can’t do thats

Organizing fundraisers.
Think about where you are going to donate this to. The school, for aesthetic projects or scholarships? Or to a charity? (bake sales, car washes, food sales, raffles, etc.) You can then put “Organized, managed, and helped raise $_____ for “INSERT PURPOSE HERE” through (list types of fundraisers here)”

Start a club at your school.
This is self-explanatory. An example of generic clubs to start that are easy and effective, granted your school does not have them already are: UNICEF, National Honor Society, DECA, FBLA, JSA, American Red Cross, etc. You can also start a club pertaining to whatever interest you have. For example, if you like math, you can start a Math Club. I think a good club to start would be an Environmental Science Club. Really easy to start, really easy to run, the activities are self-explanatory.

Participate in your schools’ student council/government, commonly known as “ASB” in most schools.
Try to get any position you can get, even if it’s commissioner of something ridiculous. On your app, you can put “ASB/Student Government - (Put Position Here)”

Be a captain of a contest.
You can lead contests such as Academic Decathlon or Science Olympiad as a captain. On your app, it would be listed as “Captain of the Academic Decathlon Team.”
You can also do this for lesser contests, like the AMC. “Captain of the AMC Help Group”?

You can join JROTC and rank up.

It’s been mentioned, but I want to elaborate. Colleges are not impressed when they see “Officer of club”

they want to see “Officer of club” During my term, I did [insert things truffliepuff mentioned]

Some kids at my school take the officer positions of a club, and it seems that ALL they do is “lead meetings”

They barely put any effort into organizing events for members.
