I found your comment about "fags" offensive.

That said...

I have a friend at DePaul who got in with a fairly low (2.7ish) GPA from a fairly decent private high school and 1200 (old) SATs. Not so sure about the rah-rah sports atmosphere, but I know he's finding plenty of bars/clubs to go party at.

But if you want to get an education/have some fun along the way and aren't looking for any particular programs, why not just stay instate and go to UM or MSU?

Staying in Michigan would definitely be cheaper. It's a big state...do you really need to get further away from home? It's not like Chicago has better weather or anything!

well amanda darling, i hear japan has some colleges dedicated to teaching people how to fish. fishing college or whatever, they call it. it seems like your dream school yah! they don even need english there, wow!

i really cant believe half the people on here..if you dont have anything nice to say or any of the info that i want then dont bother responding ..i dont see the point esp wen none of u guys kno anything about me...o yea and about your "english classes"..its the way i talk on the comp..i seriously cant believe some of you. and about the welfare thing..honestly..get a life! ..money doesnt matter..i kno its cheaper in state but i love chicago and i really want to go there..its jus something i have to do for myself

Amanda just ignore them. I know nothing about chicago colleges, but I understand your need for a balance. These people are just a bit elitist and uptight at times. :)

adconard: For Amanda304, it might be more like "Why do the work yourself when you can get others to do it for you?"

There's also a search option for the forums at the top of the page. I think anything along the lines of "chicago party school" will produce some results at the very least.

Edit: I forgot to mention that College Board has a good search engine for colleges.
