Someone kill me please!

For some odd reason I assumed “500 Characters” to mean 500 words…I was VERY VERY WRONG!
I wrote 2 amazing essays for my “Famous New Yorker” supplement only to find that I am limited to 500 characters.

SOMEONE PLEASE COME SHOOT ME!

omgg i did the same thingsssssss!!! Im just handwriting my stuff so maybe i’ll have a little more space

I highly doubt NYU would want to read like 500 words for each of their 5 or so supplement prompts. Next time read the directions. Since you have so much already you should be able to cut it down into something succinct and intelligent.

wait, does 500 characters mean 500 letters?

^Yes it does (including spaces and punctuation).
I was just being an idiot.

organic’s statement is false. 500 characters does not necessarily mean 500 letters, as characters can include non-letters (including spaces and punctuation).

organic, I would be glad to shoot you. Please provide me with your location and I will be there with a rifle aimed at your head.

someone has issues… :O
