On MIT's application, they ask you to tell them "about something you do for the pleasure of it". I can't decide on what to write, and want to hear your inputs. I'm either going to write about skateboarding, math, or science club. Skateboarding sounds good because it shows a different side of me, which is kind of what the question sounds like it's asking for. Math is good because it is really my biggest passion. And science club is good because it shows leadership, interaction with peers, etc. Well, what do you guys think?

My vote is for skateboarding, unless there's a particular thing in math that you do for fun (like sports statistics, for example). or, i have a friend who's passion is grammar, and enjoys taking standardizing english tests for entertainment. if i had to answer the question, my passion is literature, and i'd talk about antique book shopping. :) something individual i say is good.

Pick the one you do for the pleasure of it. It sounds like it is math in your case.

Write about both math and skateboarding...they're two different kinds of pleasureful activity
