Hello - I just wanted to tell you that your post really tugged at my heart. I have only been on this forum since Feb. but remember reading some of your previous posts. I sense you are in pain and for that I am so sorry. I'm guessing you posted again for support. I have done so many times and have been uplifted by many of the fine folks here. You are so right about the roller coaster ride. I can't even imagine what you and your family must be going through. I can only repeat what so many others have told me - these are remarkable young people no matter what they choose to do in life. Keep the faith and all will be well - you know this is true. I have a feeling a lot of well-meaning people (myself included!) are praying for you and your family to feel peace and comfort, and that is some pretty powerful stuff. I love your name - please be happy sunnie. Keep in touch.

Anyone who has come in contact with sistersunnie and her daughter and the rest of her family has come in contact with the kind of Americans we all can be proud of. Take it from me, I know from personal experience. My life, and my daughter's life, who roomed with ss's kiddo - have been enriched in ways that could have never happened without this year together at USNA. This young woman will continue the path of her life, taking with her all that she has learned, endured, discovered, experienced and survived through her time as a Plebe of the Class of 2010. God speed to you all.

I guess we've probably overwhelmed SisterS with all of our well wishes in the pm's & posts. Hope she's able to come back soon and hang out with everyone. No one wants to miss you SisterS! You're the best.

Well guys life goes on. I sure missed all of you. Waited until I thought I could correnspond without tears. Several months later and well life goes on.....

My daughter spent her last week at USNA with friends, did well on finals. Packed up and we brought her, tons of stuff and two very special female mids home with us for the following week. Peske Mom's daughter and another roommate. Had a wonderful visit with all the girls. The following Monday my daughter drove both back to the academy and has never looked back since.....

She's working at a Law office for the summer, gaining great experience. Starts college in August at a small private college in Maryland, still majoring in Chemistry. Has spent countless hours with her ill father. Seems happy and firm in her decision. Also talks about the place and people of Annapolis with fondness and respect. No horror stories from her. Very proud of the time by the bay and all the better for it.

Who is to say what was correct, but for all accounts seems she made a good decision for her. Time will tell why but we have all been enriched by the last year.

How the heck is everyone else and their offspring faring?! ZAPHOD has a girlfriend!!??

Good grief! Is nothing sacred around here? :D

Yes, I have a GF. She thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread; smart, handsome, loving, etc., etc. :o

We have more in common than should be legal. :)

Oh, well! There's no accounting for taste, I suppose. Frankly, I think she's nuts. ;)

Also, I have not moaned or groaned since I stopped getting into political discussions here, so I don't know what you're moaning and groaning about. ;)

Sis,

It's good to hear your DD has landed well. I won't lie, though: It still hurts that she left. :(
