"Soon to be an Eagle Scout"?

I know that the Eagle award is a big deal when it comes to college applications, so I’ve tried to get it done in time for November deadlines but it looks like I’ll just miss it because of all of the annoying paperwork. I have my project and all of my merit badges done so I know I will be one soon. Should I put on my application “soon to be Eagle scout” or something like that? Or should I just accept the fact I should have gotten it done earlier and don’t mention it?

Why don’t you put “Eagle Scout award anticipated December 2016” or whatever date you expect it to be. Also, you could add a line about completing all merit badges and a one line description of your project.

Ok I’m probably going to put that. I don’t think there’s enough space for everything else

definitely put eagle scout on application and anticipated date. Something like: Eagle Scout Project Completed 9/16, anticipated award received 12/16
It is way to impressive to just leave off your application

Congrats.

Don’t forget the Eagle Scout Scholarship (Because your EBOR is after October 31st, you’ll be able to apply for next year even if you’re in college already).
