French was ridiculous.

anyway, I read that the last test date for fall 2008 freshman applicants to test is December 1. Will it hurt my admission chances to do it then and therefore not have my SAT II scores on my application? And should I send my SAT scores to Cal right after I get those Dec 1 results? And SAT II and SAT results are all on one report, correct?

tell me more about french, i'm taking it in november

um, i meant tell me about the test...not about your experience taking it.

thank YOU.

I know what you meant. No thank you.

lol @ drsarah... go look at a french sat book by kaplan or barrons for more info. unless you want other info... which is called cheating. thank the book.

are you planning to cancel the french score? if you do not cancel anything, you still need to write all yours sat i and sat ii scores on the application. of course it will not hurt your chances if you take the sat's in december. many many people take it during december. i think there is a box that asks if your going to take the sat in december on the application so no worries. sending them as early as possible is the best (duh). and yes they are all on one report. hope this helps.

realestate, i already have the barrons book, thanks for the advice :)
i just thought it would be helpful to get advice from someone who's already taken it...it's a natural question. not sure where the hostility's coming from. but..ok.

srabbie, relax jeez.. she just asked what the test was like...it definitely a natural question

Hahahahah. I'm like thinking srabiee sounds uncannily like some of the pre-meds here at Berkeley.

drsarah: get over it. I can remember every single question but hell will freeze over before I tell you anything.

For all these people telling me I need to relax, did you not see how rudely that little brat addressed me? "tell me more about french, i'm taking it in november".... would YOU respond to something that tactlessly put? I refuse to. What, was she raised by hogs with poor grammar? Also, I wasn't under the impression I was giving some uncontrolled air by stating "no thank you." That's all I'm saying about that.

Yeah, I cancelled. Then I found out, through conversing with others, I might have broken 600. However I'm still glad I did, because this way I have a little more time. I'm doing something relatively easier, like US History.

whoa, she just asked a question.

uhhhh okay. You seem like... a ....very nice person(heavy undertone of sarcasm).

By declining to answer and then explaining why when everyone complains about how harsh I was? You people are just so logical.

For all those interested, I just flipped in the book I studied from and found it was from 1988. It claims the French test is offered 4 times a year.

Your explanation of why you refused to answer the question was harsh, uncalled for, and illogical. If you refuse to help or give advice when others ask for one, how do you expect others to help you?
I think you need to stop being so arrogant because if you do get accepted and decide to matriculate here, you will find very few people will want to help you in classes and life in general.

srabiee, i did not realize i offended you in the way i phrased my question--i apologize. i should've included a "please", or a "could you".

however, like the rest of the members on this thread said, your responses were a bit harsh--immature, to be exact. I know many Berkeley students/graduates and I can't imagine how successful they'd be if they had your attitude.

anyone else take French SAT that can help a fellow French student taking it in November?

I didn't receive help on my subject tests and I certainly didn't rudely ask people who had just walked out of it to "tell me about the test." If you want uncalled for, review the way she asked the question. Not a please in sight. And I'm blatantly ignoring the fact that I posted, not a thread to discuss the test, but to ask for general advice.

Very few people will want to help me? Hahaha... well, fortunately for me, I don't have to rely on an online forum for a social life. Thanks for the advice though.

I'm glad you can hold your own, though. Luckily, looking at her stats, it doesn't seem to me like drsarah will get accepted anywhere I want to go. So I won't have to deal with crude lowlifes like her when I go to college. Thank you, Jesus.

"srabiee, i did not realize i offended you in the way i phrased my question--i apologize. i should've included a "please", or a "could you". "

Had you have stopped there, I would've deleted my last statement and reasonably reconciled. But I can't believe you had the gall to go on and criticize what I say. I can deal with that- but then you continue trying to discuss your subject tests on my thread. Go on another board.

By the way, I wonder how well illiterate people who use the phrase "lol" do in life in general. They certainly won't be Berkeley graduates. So what are they to do?

Ah, this stupid insult-slinging makes me feel like I'm in high school all over again. I foresee a bleak future for this thread.

Just as reaffirmation of what was already said:
1.) Yes, all your SAT scores, whether I or II, are included on the report.
2.) I don't believe that your admissions will be affected by the fact that you won't have any scores on the test at the time of applying; just make sure to note that you are planning to take them.
3.) Yeah, make sure to have your scores sent in to the schools; I believe that there's an option on the actual tests to have them sent in. If not, make sure to do that on the website, or something.

I think I'm going to just take them Nov. 3, as much as I hate giving CB an extra $22 LATE FEE. Simply because it will unnecessarily bother me to not have scores on my application. I just have to decide before Oct. 11

I couldn't get an answer on whether SATI and II are on the same report. I assumed so, but I wanted to make sure. So that helps a lot. Thanks so much! And also thank you realstate.

I'm done reading this thread, guys. Have fun ♥
