@uptown12 that sounds logical… hopefully they do!
yes I rlly hope so! I really want to get in and they start emailing tomorrow!
I’m so scared haha.
Hey everyone! Sorry for the 2-week no show. Any-who, based on what I’ve read there seems to be a misconception on when they start to give acceptances. I’ve heard from them specifically that they start April 1st - howeverrr - they actually start March 29. I’ve known quite a few applicants from previous years who got their acceptances March 29, and I did hear as well that they continue during the 1st week of April. So if you didn’t get yours as yet, don’t fret.
Additionally in regards to the amount of applicants this year - it is rather unfortunate, but they are going to accept less. Covid-19 has nothing to do with the amount of applicants they are accepting. That was quite amusing when I first read it, haha. This year especially will be one of the years with the least acceptances. So, yes around 70-ish. Definitely no where near the 90s. Just food for thought - don’t worry too much about it. I have honestly given up hope of being accepted. My interview did not go as planned, though i’m sure it could have gone far worse. If you wrap your minds around it too much, it’ll just cause a lot of unwanted stress.
With that aside - has anyone heard back from them ?
.
Is there a reason for low acceptances (estimated about 70) compared to previous years? Still waiting for the email though.
Anyone know what time they come out?
Still waiting for an email
Also on the Sophie Davis vip page when you login, it states that they are sending out emails until April 1st by the latest.
In the past they’ve sent decisions out around 4:00-5:00pm… hopefully they come out today!
According to the VIP page everyone is getting an email this year and physical letters will be sent out after April 1.
any updates?
@Admission2020 It is only natural that as the years go on - and more applicants apply - the acceptance rate gets smaller and smaller I think this is due to how popular Sophie Davis is becoming, and how competitive the program is. Also, there’s the fact that they still want to maintain a small student body - and there are already so many students attending, so some years they decide to curb the amount of students getting in.
In terms of the time of day - normally around 3 - 6 pm
I saw in another thread that someone got accepted! I’m sooo nervousss
Which thread is that ? Can you share the name plz ?
(the thread where someone says an acceptance was heard of)
Lol yeah of course it’s the Sophie Davis BSMD 2020 Applications/Decisions
Does anyone know if they release the acceptance emails all at once? & do they only do acceptances through email and rejections in mail… ?
Thanks
Omg I’m scared. Do you think they are gonna be able to email all the people who got accepted today or they are going to have to continue tmm as well
I just wanna get an email from them!!
