Sophmore APs

a lot of ppl in my grade soph. year took world b/c freshman year we took east and soph we took west, so we just needed to review.

DS1 took BC Calc, Comp Sci AB, and US Gov't as a soph.

DS2 took US Gov't as a freshman, will take USH and Enviro as a soph.

DD1 took USH and Psych as a sophomore.
DD2 took Euro and Psych as a freshman.
DD2 will take USH, Bio and Comp Sci AB as a sophomore.

I took Euro as a sophomore. I know some people that took Euro and Env. Science. And I have a friend that took Chemistry his sophomore year.

APUSH, required by state law courtesy of NCLB (not the AP level, just USH), and Biology, just started last year for those in the AP track. I also took Spanish Language, an exam normally reserved for juniors. APUSH was hell, but I still got a 5; so was Spanish Language, in which I beat all but two juniors, with a 4.

I would say that Government, Psychology, Environmental Science, World History and Human Geography are highly manageable for freshmen or sophomores.

Euro and Chem when I was a soph. Scored 5's on both.

I took AP Biology as a Freshman, and AP Chemistry, Statistics, World History, Human Geography, and Environmental Science as a sophomore (the last three were self-studied.) Any of these are achievable, though all the math and science AP's, other than AP statistics, should not be taken without teachers. Honestly, any AP is easy with enough effort throughout the year, and if they're self-studied, enough studying the week before the exam.

My son took AP USH as a sophomore. It was his first AP class and there was a lot of adjustments he had to make in terms of work load. My son felt he learned so much not only about US history but also study habits. He feels that his reading comprehension has improved and his reading speed got faster. It was so worth it.

My son is taking AP Stats, Hoping next year to take APUSH, AP Music Theory and AP Calculus Junior year. Our small HS is famous for offering AP classes as the same time. Her senior year my D wanted to take AP Bio, AP Spanish and AP Eng Lit. The previous year everyone who took AP Eng Lit took AP Bio so this year they offered the classes at the same time so you could either take one or the other. ALL math classes they scheduled the same time as AP language so you had to choose whether or not to take a math class your senior year or AP Language - so my daughter is choosing to take just AP Bio. So hopefully my son doesn't have the same scheduling problems my daughter had.

world and stats

I took AP Art History last year.I passed the test with a 4 even though I skipped some of the short essays.I had a really high fever that day ): .The class was great; in April we had an Art History Scholastic Bowl against one of our rival schools and we won.

I'm enrolled in AP U.S. History. I'm going to self-study for APEcon this year.

S's sophomore ap exams for 2008: us hist, govt, bio, env sc, and round out with either econ or art hist, his choice, in december.
8th grade D will take the above in 9th grade.

I'm taking chem, bio, and world, and self studying psych w/ a college class, and maybe self studying euro, if I get around to it.

I took AP Euro as a soph and I thought it was hard compared to APUSH. Most people take Euro as their first AP in soph, we only had a few sophs my year take AP Calc and one self studied Chem

AP Physics B, Art History, and Euro History
