Sophomore Standing??

How much credit do I need to apply for Soph standing in LSA....I'm trying to look through the website..but I'm finding it incredibly byzantine.

type it into their faq search box

I found it....27 credit hours.

Class standing is determined by the number of credit earned toward a degree:

First year: fewer than 25 credits

    Sophomore: 25 through 54 credits

    Junior: 55 through 84 credits

    Senior: 85 credits or more

Oh...I was off by two..darn it

What is so good about sophmore standing? Is it good to get sohpmore standing if I have the credit to do so? Does that mean I HAVE to graduate a year early?

You probably register for classes earlier=more choices.

In my days, you get priority (over the freshmen) for football tickets. Now that's a big advantage.

You don't get to graduate early..but there are perks..like the ones mentioned b4.

You register for classes ALOT earlier. Take your ap tests!!!!!!! The credit definitely helps. I got all the classes I wanted at the times I wanted them because i registered so early.

Aw.. I could only scrap up 19 credit hour.

Keep in mind that if you're planning to attend for four years, if you go in with credits and have sophomore standing your first year, that means you'll have junior standing your second year and pay upper division tuition.

Naw..that's fine...Umich gave me a lot of money..so its all good!!!!

Well, even with "only" 19 hours, by next semester (Winter Term 2006) you'll be a sophomore.

Yeah...thats true....but I'd like to move that up as much as possible. I don't think I want to graduate early, but having more freedom to take differant classes and get plumb professors is def. an attraction.
