Problems:
1) My Spanish II Class starts at 6:20 which means I have to get up at 5:30. I hate coffee and im not a morning person. Any suggestions on how to stay awake (no 5 hour energy)

2) I am 1 year ahead in science but everyone else who is 1 year ahead in science is already 2 years ahead in math, except me (I'm only 1 year) My science teacher said that I will struggle in REGULAR Chem but I signed up for Advanced because it really helps prepare you for AP Chem. should I drop down to regular?

3) I talked to the AP Psychology teacher who said I can't take his class because no sophomore has ever gotten above a C. I plan on self-studying it since I can't take it but is it really that hard?

4) I plan on also self-studying AP Environmental Science because I heard its really easy. Your not allowed to take it unless you've passed chemistry first. I've also heard that the test got really hard this year. The AP Environmental Science teacher is the teacher in the room next to me during advisory (study class) one a week. How could I use him to get help. (Same applies to AP European History)

5) Am I crazy for taking 5 AP Classes.

6) I volunteer at the hospital on Tuesday's and Thursday's, I applied for a job at the movie theater (if I get it I plan to work Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday), I am part of DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, Mu Alpha Theta, NHS and Science Olympiad so I will not get much time for help during Lunch and after school.

I’m an incoming junior so, let’s see about this

1) Ouch, I’m considering taking 0 period next year but mine starts at 7. Just sleep as early as possible.
2) Everyone at my school takes AP Chem their junior year after Algebra II their sophomore year. All you need is Algebra II. You’ll learn along the way.
3) I hear it’s the easiest to self-study
4) dont know about APES
5) No, it’s common and I’ll take 5 my junior year (Eng, Span, Psych, Chem, USH)
6) Help yourself. You don’t need others. Sorry, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it.
7) No just ambitious

1) In the summer, NOW, get used to waking up at 5:30 and sleep early :D.
2)Depends on your choice for AP Chem, majority of counselors at my school discourage AP Chem, even though they would be perfectly fine doing it. So take it and AP chem next year.
3) I have no experience in AP Psychology, but I’ve heard good stories about getting a 3,4,5. Sometimes its the teacher who grade really hard.
4) I also have no experience in this, but study REALLY HARD, since you need some Chem and Bio with this.
5) No, not really. I’m doing 6 AP Tests this year and im self studying 2 of em.
6) You are really into school :D. Dont get burnt out in HS, and have fun as well :P. I would go ask your teachers for help whenever you can, and possibly skip some clubs jsut to go get help. (Without skipping some clubs, I would have never gotten an A)
7) NAW, Just like the person above me just ambitious. You would be crazy if you are taking All the AP sciences together + the AP histories, then maybe we would decide if you are crazy.

TLDR: Just do your best, and start studying NOW!
Have fun at school as a Sophomore

Why do you feel the need to take 3 AP exams as a sophomore? Take the courses as a junior and senior – you’ll have a better time at school and your college application will be just as good without AP Scores from your sophomore year.

The other 2 I understand, as they are for the courses you are taking. That’s all you need to do. You don’t need to take 7 next year and 8 the year after either. Work out a reasonable set of courses. You’re not going to impress the colleges with those kind of loads, only the people who post here.

What… There’s a 6:20 class? I feel so sorry for you!

Your courseload seems pretty rigorous. If you’re unsure about honors chem, then swap for the regular one. I took regular chem my soph year, barely remembered anything, and still breezed through AP - don’t worry.

Psych is probably the easiest AP out there. Get a Barron’s and read up a month before the AP and you’re golden. Euro is a lot of material though. Read through a textbook throughout the year and then cram a review book a week prior to the exam. Don’t even go to your teacher - it’s a waste of time. How well you do on the history APs depend on how well you can sit your ass down and read a textbook.

It’s manageable, but the issue is that you might have a difficult time balancing so many subjects.
