Both, because the seniors are gone. Besides, SinsNotTragedies, you don't have to follow the title if you don't feel like it.

I'm dreaming about Columbia or Brown, really. Dreaming, though, since there's almost no chance I could get in.

Otherwise, I'm thinking about Northwestern, Tufts, or Swarthmore. Possibly a couple of others, too, like Kenyon. I don't really have my list very narrowed yet.

(Oh, I'm a junior.)

If I stay in Canada, I'm looking at UBC, U of Alberta, U of Toronto, U of Waterloo, and McGill. Top choice right now is UBC.

For American schools, the only one that I've really looked into and would consider attending at the moment is UPenn.

(Currently in grade 10)

Two Words: NYU STERN.

I'm a junior. Thank god APs are over. :D

SinsNotTragedies: It's for current sophomores and rising seniors. (current juniors) =]

I think I'm gonna apply to NYU Stern too. Anybody know if nice campus or whatnot?

I want PENN or Cornell, but in reality it is never going to happen. It's quite depressing.

Georgetown, UMiami, Yale (this one's probably not even remotely possible..but who knows..so i'm going for it anyway)

p.s. troubleinabox....i think cornell is totally a possibility, they aren't your typical "ivy". I know people who have gotten in from my high school....so you should def. give it a shot. you can also always go to their SUNY extension. you get the cornell education for alot less and i don't think it's as competitive as the main school

Sophomore:
United States Air Force Academy, Embry-Riddle (Daytona Beach). Air Force Academy or bust.

Junior=
NYU, UFlorida, Barnard, BU

I'd like to go to University of Chicago, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, College of William and Mary, Ball State, or Indiana University.

I sure hope I can get into JHU and Cornell.

MIT, Middlebury, Dartmouth, Brown, Swarthmore

Protege NYU has no campus. I'm applying to NYU Stern ED round. What about you?

I'm a senior, so I guess I really shouldn't be here, but this thread reminded me of something my friends and I were discussing. In my school, you can see tons of freshmen wearing Harvard shirts saying things like, "Harvard's my number one choice, but I guess I'll settle for Princeton or MIT." Fast forward two years later and these same kids are wondering if they'll even get into one of the Ivy rejects like Case or U Mich.

Anyway, Ivies aren't everything--my number one choice was an Ivy reject. Actually visiting a college changes everything. Case and point: Columbia. I had such high expectations for Columbia and expected everyone to be polite and civilized. The guy who gave opening remarks was such a pompous ass, and one of the kids who was applying said things just to sound smart: "Oh, the kinds of authors on the Core reading list sound sooooooooooooooooo masochistic." Luckily my tour guide was really sweet, or else the only impression I'd have of the place is that it is just a bunch of hoity-toity stick-in-the-muds.

Actually visiting a college changes everything.
I agree. The only Ivies I'm considering now are Brown and Dartmouth. I didn't like Harvard when I visited; Yale was fine, but for some reason I just didn't care for it. I hated Penn almost as much as I hate New York City. I haven't visited Cornell or Princeton, but I'd prefer a smaller school than C, and I dislike the idea of eating clubs.

I sound really negative, don't I? :D

Haha niiice. I'm probably going to just Regular Decision to NYU Stern. It's not near my #1 Choice. I'd rather be in the West Coast near the UC's or in Cali at least. =]
