Sophomores/juniors: What College Do You Want?

New York University or Reed College

I used to be reallly into Stanford, now I'm thinking of back east. My current dream school is Columbia, with U of Chicago and a few others along with it. And, of course, harvard :)

NYU
George Washington
Boston U
USC
Depaul
U of Washington-Seattle

UIUC
PSU (Smeal)
UW - Seattle

UC Berkeley--I want to get in badly.

I really want to go to Harvard (along with the other several million people who want to go there) but I don't know my chances. Yale or Princeton would be nice as well

I wanted to go to northwestern but my mom said I have to go to a college in Georgia - hope scholarship...blah blah blah..- so I want to go to UGA
she wants to pay for my college without using any loans

My top choices would probably be

Carleton

Macalester

Vassar

Wesleyan

There are many others on my list, but I would say that those are my favorites. I'm almost definately going to be applying ED to Carleton though

I actually would like to look into fairly decent colleges compared to my classmates..dont think this is a crazy list b/c some of them r not well know and or not that hard to get into but im not looking for that im looking at alot of they have really good horse teams and have small classes:
hollins u.(horseback riding team qualified for nationals last 8 yrs very small classes)
Sweet Briar college(Very good team small classes)
yes those r both small colleges in va for Grls but they r highly thought of horseback wise

oh and a few others:
Suny Geneseo...horseback riding..good tuition..I know thats what my dad would want....inexpensive tuition and the chance for me to ride.
And a few others:
Miami U(ohio)= another top horseback riding...good team...ummm i guess im just looking into it...
and the rest would be warm places..not into riding but WARM!

but for something odd for u guys im looking at the small(w/ real small classes) Colleges in Va all girls w/ LOTS OF horseback riding my aunt actually went to hollins so maybe i could sometime get a plane to Richmond have her pick me up drive the couple of hours and get her to give me a tour

1] Cornell -CALS ED
2] MIT(Sloan) EA (it's worth a try)
3] Babson - expecting lotsa $$
4] University of Michigan
5] University of Maryland -(Smith)

I wanna do entrepreneurship or Management. I hated Uof MD for so long 'cause it's 20 minutes away from my house, but I visited the smith school the other day. It's pretty nice, also, if I stay home for college I won't have to begin life anew.

Cornell is where my heart's at. Their entrepreneurship program is pretty good, Ivy League status doesn't hurt. But will I want to live in Ithica for 4 years? I figure i'll apply ED. That way, the endless self-debating can end. Alas, if MIT and Cornell don't come through, it's off to babson...

Does Cornell let you apply ED even though you're applying to MIT EA?

1- Princeton
2- U of Chicago
3- Stanford T_T
4- Rice
5- Washington U

5-University of Richmond

I am applying to liberal arts colleges because they are affiliated with this Columbia program I want to do, but if I decide not to then I will go to:

1-Umich LAS ROSS transfer
2-NYU CAS
3-Boston College/Wake Forest
4-Babson/Boston University
5-Trinity College/Conneticut College
6-Case Western(safety EA)
7-Rutgers(safety)

The first two or three or four are definite reaches and I have 3 safeties and most of the rest are matches. I really want to go to Bates/Hamilton/Colgate!
