Sorry, but I need a definite answer... Withdrawing Apps.

I already searched on the site and have found conflicting answers.

So I was admitted to an ED school. I already withdrew from all the schools to which I sent applications too.

HOWEVER, there are some schools where I only sent the teacher recommendations and transcripts, but not the application itself.

Two colleges said as long as I didn't send the application, I'm fine.

But I want clarification in general on this whole withdraw business so I, and maybe others out there, can feel assured that they are fine now.

FOR SCHOOLS IN WHICH YOU DID NOT SEND IN THE ACTUAL APP BUT DID SEND THE RECS AND TRANSCRIPTS, IS IT MANDATORY? OR ITS OK AND YOU CAN JUST TELL THEM OUT OF COURTESY?

Thanks

Same situation, I didn't bother telling them... I suppose if you want to be a better person than me, go do that. ANSWER: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING FOR SCHOOLS TO WHICH YOU DID NOT ACTUALLY APPLY.

clear? :D

You don't "have" to, but you should. Why should a school have to keep going to your file to see if your application has come in, when you could just as easily tell them that you're not going to apply?

If they have anything, then they have started a file. Just send a fax to these schools, with your signature, asking to withdraw your app.

Some schools, especially state Us, have and will admit kids based off of transcripts alone.
