Take everything that people on CC say with a spoonful of salt. People here are such high-achievers. Don't get too stressed out by CC-ers.

That's why I don't do chances thread's. I think I've got a chance, but prob no1 else would :)

USC and NYU would be matches. Georgetown, Brown, JHU, Tufts and U of Chicago would definitley not be matches. you would need a higher weighted GPA for them to be matches, regardless of the fact that your SATs are up there. my friend had a higher GPA and SATs than you, as well as more activities, and didn't get into some of the schools you mentioned above. anyway, good luck! :)

oh i know theyre reaches...thats why i wanted to try to find matches :p

university or richmond

*of
and ucsb, ucsd, villanova, wake forest? slight reach maybe, but definitely try for there

princetonreview.com has a special program thing to match you to schools that suit your criteria.

it's pretty helpful for at least giving you ideas.

wow thats pretty nice. this is what i got:

Top matches:
Geogetown 66% fit
Gettysburg 59% fit
Bucknell 51% fit
Carnegie Mellon 51 % fit

reaches:
WUSTL 66%
Harvard 59%
Brown 51%
Stanfard 51%
Columbia 44%

and American came up as my top safety

sounds like im at least on the right track as to what i want. yay

Where do you get the percent fit data?

its from that princetonreview counsel-o-matic or whatver its called. check it out. easy to find link on their website

The chance calculation sucks at this site (It told me I had a better chance at Stanford than USC, for cryin' out loud), but it's really useful because it has semi-recent information on averages at schools across the nation. It's like a huge compilation of common data sets.
