My S will be in South - Hoyt starting Friday. Looking at the sample floor plans here Housing: First-Year Students: South Halls
it only shows one chest of drwers. Is that correct? If there is only one, I am assuming the roommates share the one chest of drawers? If only one, how many drawers are in that?
Thanks!

gdad - I seem to remember two chests...but I would call the housing office and ask. I called a few times and they were friendly and helpful.
Storage space is limited though. Bed risers help...along with those big plastic storage boxes. Great for sweaters and sweatshirts that are hard to fit in the current space...it's cold out there! Good luck to your S!

That looks to be the same type of chest of drawers my S had this summer in South (Simmons). It's one large unit built into the wall. His had a mirror and smaller shelves built in on top of it. It's designed for both people to share it. Each "half" has smaller drawers on the top, with bigger drawers below. It was plenty big enough for my S and his roommate. I don't think they even used all of the drawers.

I lived in Hoyt Hall during Fall semester. The picture on that website is wrong. There is no bunkbed...at least it doesn't come with one. You have to make it bunk; they won't do it for you. There are two separate closets. I'm not sure if you can move them (I think you can). There is a large mirror inside one of the doors. On the bottom of the closet is two chest of drawers. There is also a separate thing of drawers about the height of my chest. I believe there are a total of five drawers in that. They are pretty big...probably like three feet wide or something (about the same length of the desk). This whole thing is movable of course. This was my room in Hoyt along with other rooms on my floor and the floor above.
