I am a freshman and I have been homeschooled for the past 2 1/2 years because I am very competitive in a sport. I am going back to a regular school after the break is over for the second semester. I am currently enrolled in Spanish 2 (Spanish 1 grade 8), however learning a language online is very difficult, and I don’t feel like I’ve learned really anything, and what I have, I have forgotten. I talked to my new counselor about this and he told me just to try Spanish 2. I have always been a very quick learner and a straight A student. I plan on going on to take Spanish 3 and possibly Spanish 4, but I definitely don’t have any desire to take AP Spanish, and foreign language is not important for my intended major. So I was just wondering whether I should take Spanish 2 or go back to 1? I’m also worried that going back would look bad to universities. I could do some catch-up over the summer break if needed.
If you can drop the class without much backlash, then you can try spanish 2. Ultimately, you know best what’s good for you.
