Hi.

I am going to apply ED to UPenn and will send in my SAT Subject Test scores. I want to take Spanish w/ Listening, which is only offered in November, but the ED application is due November 1. I am signed up to take Subject Tests this Saturday, and am wondering if it would be better to take Spanish w/o Listening this weekend (since Penn recommends sending in a foreign language subject test) while it is fresh in my mind - this is my last year of Spanish, AP 4 - instead of taking it in November w/ Listening. I don't even know if I can send in a subject test after the application has been turned in! What should I do? Any and all help would be appreciated!

Westmere

just take the one w/o listening. They dont really care, since they know that the one with listening is more expensive and stressful since it is only offered on november

Oh, btw, I think I read in college websites that they do accept november SATs, since they generally come around when they're making their decisions

If still in doubt, phone or email the adcoms

Thanks for the good advice, Kowloon.

For what it's worth, I applied ED to Penn this year, and submitted November scores. Be sure to check that Penn receives your scores though; Penn somehow lost my Nov scores, as well as my friend's scores, so we both were scrambling to get a copy faxed in to them.

Did you take the ones in November to do a listening subject test, though?

No, I kinda left my testing to the last minute (didn't seriously consider applying to US universities until Sept of grade 12 :P) So Nov was the first time I wrote the SATIIs.

And you still got in without a language subject test? Awesome. Congrats, by the way, on getting in ED. I hope to join the class of '13, so, we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the advice, too.
