Hello. I'm only a freshman and I haven't decided on any particular college obviously, but I do know that I plan on going to school that would require 2 years of spanish. I've already completed two since my school was using the 4 block schedule. Next year we're switching to the more common 7 block (most classes are taken all year). I am set on the fact that I will double up on math (geometry and algebra 2) so that I can max out the amount of math I can take. If I also take spanish I will not have a single study hall all year, very difficult with 7 classes. I realize most colleges like more than 2 years of Spanish, but if I give that up to do better in math won't that give me an advantage just as taking more than the required years of spanish would? Do you suggest taking Spanish or switching it for a study hall. Also keep in mind that I am taking only classes that look good for college, no art, ceramics, woods, etc. And Spanish may bring down my GPA if I don't get an A which is definately a possibility.
