Sparknotes U.S. History Tests

Are they harder or easier than the real thing? Good predictor?

I was able to get an 800 on the US SAT II which surprised me because up to the night before the test I was getting 720-740s on the online sparknotes test.

I think this is because there is either no curve what so ever or the curve is not very generous. So at least from my experience if you are getting above 700 your fine in terms of a high level score.

What about the nature and format of the questions on sparknotes? Were they similar to the real one you took?

They are a bit harder and like kosloff said, there is little or no curve. So you’re Sparknotes score is going to be lower in general. Don’t worry about the spark notes scores if they aren’t satisfactory.

If you read the book right before you take them they’re probably easier because the questions are worded exactly how the book explained it. However, I didn’t really do that and scored 690, 720, and 750 on the practice tests and I ended up scoring 780 on the real test.

confirmed. sparknotes is harder than real sat 2, probably because there is no curve? but yeah 730 on the sparknotes, 800 on the real thing.

There are 8 sparknotes history tests online, are they the same stuff you guys are talking about?
