Sparticus, Spanks: How prestigious is Cornell considered?

knows11, Cornell in totlity has 15 college (including grads)...of which 7 or so(College of Engn, ILR, Hotel Mangmnt, CAS for ug's and Johnson College for pg;s are REALLY good)...

^ what??????

translation:

Cornell has a total of fifteen colleges including graduate schools. Of these fifteen, about seven are considered very good including:

-College of Engineering
-Hotel Management
-College of Arts and Sciences (Undergrad)
-Johnson School of Management (Postgraduate)

Thanks StPlayrXtreme.

Now that's better, though I'm not sure how true Arjun's allegations are.

the allegations are pretty true...in keeping with E. Cornell's dream, the treustees tried makin every course possible available...which is why Cornell offrs one o the largest no. of courses, rivalled only by Berkeley

But as fate may have it, not anyone, not even Cornell, has a 100% success, ans so while some courses blossomed and became the apple of the eyes of the public, some became as noteworthy as George Dubya Bush's image in Iraq

In short, IN MY OPINION, CCOEngn, ILR, CAS and Hotel Mngmt are the better of the ug college...of course i might be mistaken, and apologoze if i might have left out any College which deserves mentioning

i hope that won't need translation like the previous one...
as for the main purpose of this thread...Cornell coures are seen with great respect by recruiters as they know Cornell's main 'sell-point' is the rigidity of their coursees...

Arjun, you should write pamphlets and promotional materials for Cornell. You're really . . . dramatic . . . lol

That might scare off potential students.

why? (blah blah blah)

it was a joke.....

Why? Because nobody can understand what you're trying to say, most of the time.

I love these threads about prestige and reputation. They're such hair-splitting. It's like arguing whether it's better to have a ferrari or a porsche in your garage, or whether it's better to have diamonds or rubies on your ring. It's a win-win situation either way.

but everyone knows ferraris and rubies are better in the job market.....

Isn't the Architecture program top-notch?

yes

Though architecture students live in the studio.

It does have a really great reputation, and it's extremely difficult to get in since you have to submit a pretty impressive portfolio for admission.

Bill Nye went to Cornell! What more could you want? :p

Arjun is a tool. The Cornell bot 5000.

He needs better programming.

Well put. Or a tool shed.

lol, but seriously, cornell is one of the top universities. Who cares if its not number 1 or 2, doesn't make a difference. In the end, its who gets the job that counts and try to figure that out. Just getting a notable degree will not take you anywhere if you are not competent. A college isn't going to babysit you and teach you this skill.
