Speaking section in the AP French Test?

Is there a speaking section? If so, how does it work?
I sure hope there isn't...

There is one section where you have a “conversation” with five iterations; in each iteration, you speak for 20 seconds. There’s also a 2 minute cultural presentation where you compare an aspect of your culture/American culture to that of a fancophone country.

What are the conversations like? Do you have to talk to some French person, or what? Would everybody be doing that at the same time? I don’t see how that would work out…

Well, according to what my teacher said, you say one half of the conversation, and the other half is pre-recorded by a native French speaker. There’s an outline you have to go by and it’s like…

Service agent greets you and asks two questions.

Respond to the waiter appropriately, and agree to the second question.

Idk, something like that.
I’m really scared o___o
How many native French people are gonna be taking the test?

Oh, so you record your response, right? If so, that makes me feel much better about it… although I’m not taking it until 2014. The example you gave seems doable, so now I am more willing to take AP French than before. I also take it that you only get one try on the response?

Natives don’t count for the curve(unless a lot of them decide to be malicious and lie about whether they’re native)

Section Two of the AP French test contains four parts. A and B are writing, while C and D are both speaking. C is interpersonal speaking—informal—while the final part is presentational speaking—formal.

This first speaking section is that as was described by iiClickSend above.
You have one minute to read this outline, after which the conversation begins, allowing 20 seconds for each response.

The final presentational speaking section is as follows. Three minutes are provided to read the given topic. You will then speak for two minutes—as close to, but not over—providing a thorough presentation of your cultural knowledge of the Francophone world.

I hope this helps :)
