I need help regarding the CSS. I’m an international applicant with separated parents. My custodial parent is parent 1. My non custodial parent (2) will not pay for my college education and there’s no way I can get the bank statements, etc of parent 2. Now the problem is, my custodial parent, due to having limited funds, will not be paying for my education either. My aunt will be funding my education. So how should I fill the CSS? Where exactly should I mention my aunt?
Contact each school and ask them how to provide the info.
You don’t mention your aunt on the Profile this year. If she provides you support, you will need to mention that NEXT year.
But you either have to have parent number 2 complete the non-custodial parent Profile, or you have to apply for a waiver for it at each college…with sufficient documentation on why this should be granted.
And for the record…parent not willing to pay is NOT a reason tombe granted a non-custodial parent waiver.
