<p>so i'm a junior and want to apply to colleges in the fall. my gpa right now is pretty low - around a 3.4 - because of some weird circumstances. in last year my school closed for swine flu and this year, i moved mid-year because i lived in egypt, and there was a revolution and school was being cancelled so i've sort of had trouble adjusting, i guess.
however, my sat scores are pretty high - 2120.
if my counselor writes a letter explaining the circumstances and i write a really awesome essay, what do you think my chances are of getting into a school like UW?</p>
