Specific questions from Official Guide Test #3

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated</p>

<p>Two specific questions on grammar:</p>

<p>Section 6, Question 29
"Nearly all the ediotrs of the magazine agree that of the two articles to be published, Fujimura's is the more exciting."
-"the more exciting"--shouldn't this be "the more exciting one?"</p>

<p>Section 10, Question 7
"Civil rights leader an author W.E.B Du Bois was interested in drama because he believed that if you represented historical events on stage it could have a great, more lasting effect than any exhibit or lecture."
-choices C and E seem the most valid, but choice C seems more correct.</p>

<p>Critical Reading:
Section 7, Question 21
-The 3d paragraph of passage 2 seems to fully support choice A.</p>

<p>For the first one, it is implied that they are talking about her article still, so it is acceptable to say the more exciting.
By the way, I hate these, because there is always a better way to say things, but it doesn't necessarily mean it is wrong the way it is.</p>

<p>The second one is E because it basically says the same thing as answer choice C, only shorter and more to the point. When in doubt, go with the shorter one.</p>
