speculation galore

Mz, I don't think everyone is getting a login successful...

Oh no, I just realized that it says "ERROR: You do not have access to the Admissions Decision website." not return on April 1st. Ok, so I didn't get in?

After you put in ur info, NO login successful? and then NO redirecting to another site with a big window with a globe? how odd...

Does it make any difference if i say that i have gotten the same error since january?

jenz, dont worry yet. we havent concluded anything. both rum and i applied ea so that might be why ours is different (we already logged in successfully to check in december) -- this is why we have this thread, to try to conclude what each result means. but im starting to think that just isnt going to happen. . . it seems we're just all scaring ourselves while no new evidence is coming in. . .

No Jenz, don't conclude anything...this is all info-gathering. All we know is that there are clearly 2 distintly different error messages. We don't know if it is a function of admissions decisions or a function of previous EA status vs. RD status or if it means nada. And, btw, I'm sure H has fixed their problem for RD, cuz it was so widespread that they had to have been informed about it.

Yes, Beechbum, maybe it does make a difference, since all applicants likely began with that error and got moved out of it. Is yours the "no access" one or the "April 1" one?

mine is..login successful...then a little box that says Error: you dont have access..blah blah.

Beech, are you RD or Yale EA deferred?

i am RD.......

can someone who was deferred EA PLEASE check to see which error message they get?

Ok, then this makes sense. EA people have a different message because it was created before the RD people started arriving. Same thing, different wording, that's all. I do still wonder about the "successful login" thing tho, but I am now less inclined to agree with Mz. You still have a shot in my book, Mz!!!

the successful login means that they recognize the id and password you typed in.

So why doesn't everyone get that?

Who hasn't gotten that? On the "Login Successful" page, it does say "Admissions Decision" at the top and not "Admitted Students" or anything like that.

well....wait....are people getting login unsuccessful....and STILL being transferred to the little Error?

I get "Login Successful" and then "ERROR: You do not have access to the Admissions Decision website."

^^^^^
ditto, RD

yeah see i have a good feeling people are just getting different messages because of timing and location....and after that whole scandal with the decisions b4..i think Yale pretty much has this locked down.

the bottom line is that we need more EA deferred people to check.
