Mainly to current students, how much would you say you usually spend per week during the school year? What do you spend the most money on (shopping, food, entertainment, etc)?

To '11s how much are you guys budgeting per week?

Thanks in advance.

Are you including food money on TechCash, or only non-campus food money? Are you planning to eat dinner on campus most nights, to cook for yourself most nights, or to order food most nights? (You may not know the answers to those questions yet, but they're important factors in how much money you'll spend per week.)

it varies a lot from person to person.
--For me, I spend $3 on a donut and coffee every morning, $5 on lunch, and then most nights I cook my own dinner (it averages out to about $5 per night). so $13-$15 a day on food (but I eat a LOT).
--Books can be several hundred a term if you aren't careful, but if can can find people who took the class before you, this cost can be cut.
--Housing varies depending on where you live and how many roommates you have.
--entertainment and shopping aren't really constant costs. If you can afford it, there's lots of shopping to be done. Personally, i find there's enough fun to be had without spending almost anything most weekends, and during the week you're pretty much either hanging out or doing homework.

Last year I budgeted $100 a week and it was MORE than enough to cover food and other day-to-day costs.

Thanks for the replies.

mollie,
I'm including food money on TechCash. I'm planning to eat dinner on campus. Cook breakfast. Eat out for lunch.

I've heard $100/week is a pretty good number. I eat a lot too lol. Hopefully that'll be enough.
