how much money does a typical villanova student go through in a year?
i kno obviosuly this will depend a lot on the person, but im asking how much you spend in one year not including the cost of books, travel etc...simply $ you spend to go out, and get like groceries and go shopping

I read that you can use the extra $ on your meal plan to buy groceries from some place on campus, so I wouldn’t worry much about food.

Yeah, honestly, there is no way to figure out that until you get here and find out what the group you hang out with generally does. Stop worrying about that and just enjoy the end of high school It will all work itself out and you don’t need to have everything figured out before you get here…and this is just one of those things you CANT figure out before coming here.

As a side note- my parents give me $40 a week and that is MORE THAN enough. But there are weeks I go a bit over- obviously if I go to KOP or Philly. But I like the $40 a week, because I usually have extra to save for when I do go to KOP or Philly. Also, my gram usually gives me $20 a week once in a while, so that helps too. However, some people here would probably DIE with only $40 a week, so I guess to each their own.

i think most of the cost is covered under $48,000 a year according to Nova. You have to pay for books for sure.
However I wonder if I need to pay for health insurance.

as far as going out to philly, parties, buying clothes… just everything that nova doesnt covr, how much generally do people spend?

I don’t even think anyone can reasonably answer that for you-- are you going to compare a girl who ‘needs’ a pair of True Religion jeans and a Juicy Couture hoodie at $400 combined every other month to someone who can live with ‘mere’ Abercrombie jeans and shirt at say $110 every 3 months, or the rperson who ‘settles’ for one new outfit once a year. How bout a Kate Spade bag @ $450 versus a American eagle tote bag for $65? Then, there are those whose parents can afford to allow $50 sushi dinners dinners out every weekend vs those who going to Pat’s or Jim’s cheesesteaks for $8 is a splurge…If you are worried about this or are always going to feel ‘inferior’, maybe Nova is not a fit for you. If you can shrug off the spoiled rich kids and enjoy a great education then go for it!

im an american girl/forever 21 kinda girl…i might go shpping once a month but with shirts being ridiclously cheap at forever 21, i dont end up spending that much. all the money i spend will eb my own also, so im just tryign to figure out how much i should work this summer to be able to live comfortably at college and not ereally have to budget my money a lot. if i can earn enough beforehand that would eb awesome

You really can’t figure this out before you get there.

any good sushi places that aren’t too expensive?

Ha Ha Ha

There’s lot of pizza places. Sushi would probably require a car or a trip on the train
