Spirit Activities Card

Hey guys...this is more directed to current students....I'm just wondering how worth it the activities card is. Do most students get tickets through the lottery for the UCLA and Notre Dame games?

Thanks

I'm a freshman this year so I don't know how the lottery works. However, I have been going to USC football games since I was three years old, and can definitely say that they are awesome and in my opinion the card is worth it. It pays for itself in less than three football games, plus you get into every other sporting event.

Thanks :) That's basically what I wanted to hear haha.

Most students will get a ticket to the Notre Dame game (most...but definitely not all - cross your fingers). However, UCLA is an away game this year so student tickets will be limited. The Spirit Card is still "worth it" though because football games are awesome - and we have a new basketball arena opening up...

Say I don't get a ticket to the ND game through the lottery; could I buy a guest ticket from someone who did?

No...there are no guest tickets for the Notre Dame game.

Well, there went the idea of taking my brother. Any chance of sneaking him in?

Good luck... The Notre Dame game this year will be the hardest ticket to find in all of college football... You can probably scalp a ticket for a few hundred $$$, but other than that, you are pretty much out of luck.

One possibility is that you have a friend who wins the lottery but is going home for Thanksgiving (the game is the Sat after Thanksgiving)...you can use his/her ticket as long as you can find an extra student ID...

My understanding was that the Spirit Activities Card is linked exclusively to a particular student's ID. If a student does win a ticket from the lottery, that ticket is stored on their USCard and could not be redeemed using a random USCard.

Do the ushers check photos on the USCard? Could your brother borrow the card of a lottery winner who is not attending and use their card to enter the stadium?

I bet the lottery winner can decide to turn down the ticket and they draw another student into his place

No...for the Notre Dame game (fUCLA game last year) the lottery winners have a printed e-ticket that the ushers scan at the gate instead of your ID. They just check to see that you have an ID. (For regular games they just scan your ID)...

Yeah, but if someone knew they couldn't make the game for thanksgiving, couldn't they declare themselves not eligible so a ticket isn't wasted?

They could do that...but they could also sell the ticket and make some $$$...

they havent had the lottery yet have they?

Yeah... the deadline for the lottery was last Friday at 5 PM PST.

Sure it was.

LOL...At least somebody called the bluff... Just trying to keep the freshman out of the lottery - better chance for me! ; )

what, and wait till I'm a junior to see ND play?

What are you talking about...the game is on tv! ; )

Oh, and BTW... Your junior year (my senior) will be the greatest home schedule in the history of college football. We will get to see Ohio State, Arizona State, Oregon, Cal and Notre Dame LIVE at the Coliseum (and Washington....but at this point, they arent too exciting...sorry Ty)! How sick is that gonna be?!?!
