Sports Management Program U of SC

I'm looking at transfer schools that have sports management programs. I'll be graduating in May with a Associates Degree from a two year community college.

I live in upstate New York. The schools I've been looking at are all down south (Family in VA), University of South Carolina, Winthrop, High Point University to name a few. I'm wondering if these are solid schools and if I'll be able to get in.

I've got a 3.6 GPA, with good EC's, work experience and community service. However my SAT's are only 1640/2400. I've worked for a baseball stadium for the last 3 years and just did a internship with a boxing promotions company. I love the sports atmosphere.

I was told that I should be able to get into Winthrop and High Point. Both are small schools and I know they have relatively new up and coming sport management programs. U of SC could be a reach. I applied to Cortland in HS and didn't get in, one of the reasons why I went to a CC to get my grades up. UMass Amherst is also only a hour and a half away, however, I'm looking to gain experience in another part of the country.

I'm wondering on your take of sports management schools and if I'll have a shot at getting in. I'm looking to get into Sports Management with a focus on marketing and sales.

bump thanks!

You don’t need to send your standardized scores to SC because you have over 30 credits. You should be in at SC. I’m a freshman SM major, it’s a great program. Good luck!
