I would like to gift my family Spotify Family, but both kids are away at school… is this a problem?
I have known people for whom that is not a problem…. 
- I believe you just need to list their address as your home.

I’m cutting the cord, effective in a couple of weeks, and looking to add a couple of streaming svcs to the cupboard. My son is a heavy sometimes user of the clunky ad-version of Spotify but would love if I got something like this plan. And my music crazy high-school daughters would probably love it too.
It’s not something I would have considered as part of the family streaming bucket, but at that price I think it can be a good crowd pleaser at a cheap price.
I also suffered through the ad version for years, but got a promo earlier this year - 3 months free - and discovered that it made my work life immensely better.
And the ability to be able to download your playlists for offline streaming (plane trips or bad service areas, which I excel in finding myself in) is priceless.

We’ve had the Spotify family plan for several years and had no issues when my D moved to another state.
