Spring 2010 transfer to Carnegie Mellon

I'm really wanting to apply for spring transfer into the Carnegie Mellon College of Science because I've discovered they have a very strong math program that offers phenomenal opportunities to people like me who are willing to devote significant time to studying mathematics.

However, the following document raises some concerns:

<a href="http://www.cmu.edu/admission/forms/09/TransferApp.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.cmu.edu/admission/forms/09/TransferApp.pdf</a></p>

In particular, it says "Spring transfer extremely limited and unlikely." This latter notion is not communicated anywhere on CMU's ordinary admissions website as far as I can tell. I'm wondering if anyone is aware of just how extremely limited it actually is. Are there any spring transfer statistics that have been released? I've looked around but couldn't find any. I also couldn't find much on these forums for past spring applicants to CMU.

Thanks!

I actually called CMU about spring admission, and she said that sometimes they only take 10-20 people in all. Good luck.
