Hey, I know it's still a long way down, but I have to make some plans right now.
So, by the end of this semester, I will have over 60 Units, IGETC, and all major prereq's done, and the American Cultures requirement.
I do not see the point going to CC in Spring, but will that decrease my chances getting admitted? I am planning to stay in Europe for the whole spring.

No, come back here. Only if it is a study aboard. In application, as i saw in Common App. There is the question that asks you about this gap. I don’t know what give you this thought, but come back.

For transfer student, like me, who is applying to Haas in Berkeley, an 80 some units is about average. And I have not just of 60 unit, and my estimation will be closed to 90 at the end of spring.

I am still in the country, but I am considering spending going to Europe in Spring. I have heard that UCs will not consider spring semester anyways. Is that still a gap?

Yeah, I would say stay. This would be the perfect time to persue the pre-reqs for a minor or perhaps even another major. If you’re going to leave the country, you better have one heck of an excuse, or they’ll just consider it a fun eurotrip.

Ahh damn it, I am so torn. I will have completed pre-reqs for my double major, hell I am going to have 79 by the end of this semester. I guess I’ll stay here instead of going back to Europe.

I personally don’t see why there would be a problem with you going to Europe. If you really want to take classes, just take them all online and do them in Europe. I know the TAG says that you need to stay with the CCC that you TAG’d with unless you are not taking any classes at all. I really don’t think there would be a problem. But, like I said, just take a few online if it really bothers you.

I agree with Melissa, +2 votes for Europe

Don’t do it. Why would you take a risk like that? Say if Melissa and GreenTea are wrong… You’ll be at a UC in Fall 2012 if I’m not mistaken… I would do the safe thing: find a internship, get a job, save for college, and don’t do anything to mess up your GPA or chances for admission.

I don’t think it’s a risk at all if you have completed everything you need for transfer. I don’t see why spending some time in europe would decrease your admission chances. I took a quarter off before transferring and got in to everywhere I applied.
